インドは今、短い冬を迎えています。
グジャラートは冬でも日中は30℃を超えますが、朝晩は10℃ぐらいまで下がるため、防寒着が必要な日もあります。
今回は、日本とインドの常识の违いを绍介したいと思います。
日本では时间厳守は社会人のマナーですが、インドでは时间に対して非常に大らかです。
现场では毎日様々な会议を行っていますが、时间とおりに始まることは余りなく、开始时间に着席しているのは日本人だけと言うことが多々あります。
日常生活においても、鉄道は时刻表とおりに运行されることはほとんどなく、航空会社では、お客さんが少ないと、その便をキャンセルして次の便へ振り替えることもあったりします。

Now we are having a short wintertime in India.
Although during a day, the temperature rise up to 30 degrees, it goes down to 10 degrees in the morning and night. Sometimes we have to wear winter jacket and coats.
In this article, I would like to share my experiences about the different common sense between Japan and India.
In Japan, punctuality is a social manner, but people in India are very generous about keeping time.
We have various meetings at site every day but it almost never starts on time and often the only staff sitting at a table are Japanese.
In daily life, the trains are usually late and flights are canceled if there are not enough customers.
现场までは车での通勤ですが、道中见かける日常生活の大らかさに毎日惊きの连続です。
定员や积载荷重という概念がないのか、车もバイクも「乗れるだけ」「积めるだけ」が常识で、问题なし（ノープロブレム）のようです。
いったいどうやって积んだのか不思议になるくらい荷物が山积みのトラック、ぎゅうぎゅうな车内に加えて天井にも多くの人を乗せて走っているバスや、5人乗りのバイクなど、どうか事故に遭わないように（巻き込まれませんように）と祈るばかりです。
また、人口の约8割を占めるヒンドゥー教徒にとって牛は崇拝の対象となっており、どんなに先を急いでいても道路の主役は牛で、决して追い払うことはしません。
As I commute by car every day, I always find something surprising looking out through the windows from a car.
It seems like people here do not worry about capacity. It is a common sense to load people or material in the vehicles as much as possible and it is "No Problem".
It amazes me to see how much they can stack in the truck, or an already packed bus still carrying many passengers on the roof, or 5 people riding on one motorcycle... I am just hoping they will not get into an accident (or hoping I won't get involved in the accident).
In addition, the cow is revered by Hindus, whom are about 80% of population in India, thus the main player of the road is a cow and no matter how they are in hurry, they never try to send them away.
インドの人达はむやみな杀生をすることはなく（ヒンドゥー教が不杀生を旨としている）、蚊やハエでも追い払いはしますが、叩く人はほとんどいません。轮廻転生を信じている人にとっては虫を杀す行為は人を杀すのと同じに见えているのかもしれませんね。
赴任当初は毎日が惊きや新たな発见の连続でしたが、最近は违和感が无くなってきました。
日本に帰国した际は、日本人としての常识を忘れないように注意したいと思います。
People in India do not kill animals recklessly (ahimsa is a spirit of Hinduism), thus they ward off mosquitos and flies by hand but never swat. Killing animals may be considered same thing as to killing humans, for the people who believe in reincarnation.
When I first arrived in India, every day was a surprise and new discoveries but now that I am used to living here, I started to feel comfortable. I should be careful though when I go back to Japan not to forget the common sense as a Japanese.
